school, Shahapur, is an English medium school established and managed by Archana Educational Trust,
Mumbai, which is charitable organisation registered under Mumbai Public Act 1950. It was founded by
some eminent and generous women of Mumbai in order to provide succor to the underprivileged and
marginalized in the society. The target group of the Trust is the vast illiterate and poor rural population
of the adivasi area of Shahapur Taluka. With a view to enabling the youth from this section of the society
acquire skills in trades necessary to obtain gainful employment , the Trust started Santosh Mahesh
Bagrodia Vocational Training Centre at Shahapur in 2008. Young men and women have been trained in
different trades and employed. At present , Archana Educational Trust Vocational Training Center is
functioning registered under MSBVE running three trades successfully. In order to bring quality
education within the reach of the rural population the Trust started an English medium school in 2012 at
Chaitrban Compound near Shahapur. This school situated in the declared adivasi area will be developed
into one of the best school, eventually affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
